NEFL: Arunachal Highlander and Mizo Falcons win their opening matches

Dimapur, Aug. 26 (EMN): The Northeast Futsal League (NEFL) got underway at the NC Bordoloi Indoor, Sarusajai Guwahati in Assam on August 25.

According to an update from the media manager of NEFL, in the first match, Arunachal Highlander showed a comprehensive performance to snatch a 2-1 win against Meghalaya Thunders. Paula Boza Gil from Spain playing for Arunachal scored both the goals and became the first female player of the league to score a goal. Francis was the lone scorer for Meghalaya.

In the second match, Mizo Falcons won against Apunba Manipur 3-2. Mizo Falcons’ captain Alan scored one goal while Michael scored two goals. MdYasir and Md Shah Jahan scored a goal apiece for Manipur. All the matches will be streamed online on official YouTube channel.

Tuesday’s matches:

Apunba Manipur vs Assam Titans (4-5pm)

Mizo Falcons vs Meghalaya Thundera (5pm-6pm)

Nagaland Super 5 vs Arunachal Highlander (6pm-7pm)
