NDPP leaders campaign for party candidate in Chümoukedima

DIMAPUR — Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, and minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, CL John, campaigned for NDPP candidate, Sekha Thakro, in Chümoukedima town on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering, Zhaleo Rio stated that NDPP as regional party would fight to protect the rights and traditions of the people of Nagaland. He urged the voters to support the candidate aligned with the ruling government.

Also speaking at the programme, CL John stressed the importance of electing the candidate who would work with the ruling government.

Meanwhile, the NDDP candidate from ward-9 for the upcoming Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC), Sekho Thakro, urged the voters of Ward-9 to uphold the trust and confidence in him and work diligently for his victory. He has assured to work in consonance with the ward leaders and elders to bring about all aspects of development and progress for the ward.

He further assured to maintain transparency and accountability in all his decisions and actions if elected to power.

Short speeches were delivered by various dignitaries from the party.

Daniel Khongsai chaired the programme, while Yhunshenlo, pastor of JLB Chümoukedim, said the invocation prayer and the welcome address was delivered by Ajim Kussen.

The programme concluded with a benediction said by Mary Kuki.
