Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): A high power committee of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), accompanied by officials of the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) and officials from the concerned department visited the ongoing construction of the Doyang Bridge on March 16.
An update from NFHRCC stated that the visiting team had a detailed deliberation on the status of the ongoing project with special reference to the Doyang Bridge. It was reported that the whole road cutting was almost completed except for two stretches being one at Tizit area and another at Niuland area. The team also observed that the construction of bridge has completed 70.66%.

Having learned the sincere effort made by all the concerned agencies, the visiting team expressed appreciation and also took note of the various issues shared by all organisations/ parties present and acknowledged the sacrifices made to all those involved in the landmark project.
The high power committee was led by Alemtemshi Jamir, NDPP working president; Chuba Chang, NDPP senior vice president; Obed Quinker, NDPP general secretary; NungsangAier, NDPP convener of CPC; and David Neikha, NDPP secretary of media and communication.
The NFHRCC team was led by its convener Supulepden Jamir, president of Ralan area Lotha Hoho Samuel Ovung and the joint secretary of Lotha Lower Range Public Organisation James Tungoe.
The update stated that NDPP has committed to make all out efforts in ensuring the all round progress and development of the state. It also urged upon the state government and the government of India to give importance and priority to the project.
