Nagaland: NCHD&IT conducts education fair in Ghokito village
Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): Nagaland Centre for Human Development and Information Technology (NCHD&IT), a non-profit organisation that works in education sector in the government primary schools of Dimapur district under donor agent IDeA – The Ant, organised an annual education fair in Ghokito village on September 22.
An update from NCHD&IT stated that Thungbemo Patton, SDO (C) of Kuhoboto sub-division along with three area officials graced the occasion.
In his speech, Patton congratulated the organisation for the unique venture of special learning centre in activity based system. He has appreciated the organisation’s effort to bring about a school culture.
He further mentioned that the same method of teaching could be inculcated in the curriculum of the government schools under the state Education department.
The organisation presented its journey of the project through NCHD&IT River of Life and a documentary video.
It stated that students of Ghokito Government Primary School were given a school bag each along with their portfolio (activity report). School bags were sponsored by the Child Help Foundation (CHF), which is a partner agent of the organisation.
Ahoshe Kiho, chairman of the village council, and Akashe Zhimomi, in-charge of the school, also spoke on the occasion.
S Lithungo Lotha chaired the programme, while Yashimenla of NCHD&IT delivered the vote of thanks.
