DIMAPUR — The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), GBs’ Union (Sadar) Dimapur (GBUD), Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU), and Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) have condemned the death threat to Rülho, proprietor of M/s. KKB Rülho Pvt. Ltd., by NSCN/GPRN (Khango);

“Such evil practice of money demand with life threat is bygone culture of barbaric and unenlightened people/ society. The principle of any Naga national groups must be on true national movement with political accountability and transparency in the face of public, not for mongering money and wealth by intimidating someone with death penalty/ award for ransom,” an update from NCD said.

The Dimapur-based CSO have appealed to NSCN/GPRN (Khango) to withdraw the life threat to the proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho. They have also appealed to Naga political groups to pay heed to its slogan of ‘One govt. one tax” adopted during the Naga public meeting in 2013.

NCD also equally condemned the incident in Zunheboto district which was meted to Dick from Natha Old village.

The CSO of Dimapur have extended solidarity and support to Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) for organising public rally in Kohima on August 6 against unabated illegal taxations, harassment, intimidation and death threat to common people.

In a separate statement, Rengma Hoho stated that the act of death threat has caused mental tension and alarm not only within his family but also among the entire Naga community, disrupting the progress and development of the state.

It stated that such actions threatened the peace and tranquility among the Nagas and pose significant risk to the overall well-being of the society.

The hoho urged the NSCN-K (Khango) to withdraw the death threat against Rülho and resolve the tax dispute through peaceful and amicable means. It also appealed to both parties to refrain from any drastic actions and work together towards the development and prosperity of the state.
