NCC girls annual training concludes

Dimapur, Nov. 7 (EMN): A ten-day annual training camp at Sazolie College, Jotsoma conducted by 1 Nagaland (G) Bn NCC, under aegis of NCC Group HQ Kohima, culminated on November 6. A total of 463 girl cadets along with 10 Associate NCC Officers from all districts of Nagaland attended the camp.

During the camp, the main emphasis was given on all round development of personality of NCC cadets including imparting military training on subjects like physical training, drill, weapon training. Besides, it also imparted numerous other subjects of social importance such as national integration, motivation, career planning and general health and hygiene.

To mark the successful culmination of the camp, NCC cadets also organised a cultural programme in which Col KS Dalal, Officiating Group Commander, NCC Group HQ, Kohima, was the chief guest and Kanjangding Thou, Principal of Sazolie College, as the guest of honour. Prizes in various categories were given to the cadets including guard of honour, military training subjects and games.

Col Rajeev Kumar, Camp Commandant of the annual training camp, informed that guest lectures by eminent personalities on subjects of social importance including disaster management, drug abuse and HIV/AIDS, vector borne diseases were organised including a weapon display by 3 (NH) Assam Rifles Bn. A lecture on general health and hygiene and a motivational talk on joining the armed forces was also conducted by 3 (NH) Assam Rifles for the cadets.
