Dimapur, May 18 (EMN): The youth department of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) celebrated its 50th anniversary on May 18 at the NBCC platinum hall at Bayavü Hill in Kohima on the theme “Celebrating the past, embracing the future.”
An update from NBCC youth department stated that the thanksgiving service was hosted by Molungnenla Longkumer and David Shiu.
The highlights of the celebrations included presentation of prelude by Symphony Academy of Music Kohima, while the invocation was said by Rev. C Lima, presentation of Jubilate Deo by youth choir of Police Baptist Church 4th NAP Bn. Thizama.
Speeches were delivered by Rev. J Thungjamo Lotha, Senjano N Murry and Tekhingri Sangtam, while the souvenir was released by NBCC general secretary Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho.
Other speakers included Hupeto K Achumi, Hivika N Achumi, Joel Ayemi, N Suhuto Chishi, Rev. Vikuo Rhi, and Dr. A Niholi Sema. The benediction was said by Rev. Iringtie Kauring, pastor of Zeme Baptist Church, Kohima.
Meanwhile, the youth department has thanked all individuals, families, groups, churches and associations under NBCC for their love and support towards making the celebration a success.
