DIMAPUR — To foster a collective experience of God, the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) youth department has urged all NBCC-affiliated churches, especially their youth departments, to participate in the ‘NBCC Youth Prayer’ from July 5 to the 7th.

The initiative, which began on July 4, 1984, has since become an annual event, according to a press release from the NBCC youth department. It brings young people together to pray for the NBCC ministry and participate in the morning worship service and other activities celebrating the youth ministry of NBCC.

The department has requested all member churches to follow these tentative schedules:

July 5, Friday: organise social work in the church compound in the evening or on any other convenient day.

July 6, Saturday: hold youth prayer and fasting from 6 am to noon. In the evening, invite young people to participate in sports and scripture engagement fellowship on a playground.

July 7, Sunday: organise youth Sunday worship.

Rev. N Suhuto Chishi, youth secretary of the NBCC, has urged all youth secretaries to share this information with all youth leaders of local churches.

This includes disseminating the prayer points, sermon, and worship outline that have been prepared and dispatched for proper implementation.
