NBA selects junior boys’ team for national championship
DIMAPUR— The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) selection committee has selected a 12-member boys’ team to represent the state in the 48th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held from August 3 to the 9th in Puducherry. The trials were held in Kohima and Dimapur simultaneously on July 15.
The Championship is organised by Puducherry Basketball Association, under the aegis of Basketball Federation of India.
The 12-member team includes Neilangulie Sachu (Christ King HSS, Kohima), Kevinu T Jimo (Baptist High, Kohima), Tokivi Kiho (Baptist High, Kohima), Khriekeduozo Yiese (Baptist High, Kohima), Keduoneilie Liezeitsu (Khedi Baptist Higher SS, Kohima), Mesathung Tsanglao (Stepping Stones, Dimapur), Vikibe Roy (Hollotoli School, Dimapur), Besuve Rakho (Chokri Baptist School, Chetheba), Bendangmoa Jamir (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sewak, Dimapur), Niuke R. Swu (Grace Academy, Dimapur), Toship Ansari (Grace Academy, Dimapur) and Joseph Xalxo (Don Bosco HSS, Dimapur).
The state junior boys’ team is led by Nagaland head coach Chumbenthung Humtsoe and team manager Rajan Nayak.
