National cybercrime conference to be held in Kohima on July 25-26

DIMAPUR — The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, has announced that the National Conference on Cybercrime, Digital Forensics and Intelligence (NCCDFI) 2024 will be held at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima on July 25 and 26.

Organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Nagaland Police and the Department of Information Technology and Communication, and supported by the United Service Institution of India, the conference aims to address pressing issues in cyber security and digital forensics, according to a DIPR report.

Officials and leaders from MeitY, Ministry of Home Affairs, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Microsoft, United Service Institution of India, Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC), Deloitte India, PwC India, TCS, North Eastern Police Academy, Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory, Central Forensic Science Laboratory Assam, Keystone Education Group, Punjab Police, State Forensic Science Laboratory Himachal Pradesh, Adrey Consultancy, and XIM University will participate in the conference.

It will cover a wide range of topics, including cyber security, digital crime, cyber law, mobile forensics, financial fraud investigation, digital evidence, national security, and emerging technologies in cyber security and forensics. These sessions will provide a platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge exchange to enhance national security and combat cybercrime.

An exhibition will be held concurrently with the conference, where leading digital forensic and cybersecurity solution providers will showcase their innovative products and solutions.

The participants include Cellebrite, Magnet Forensics, MSAB, MH Service, 4N6 Care Technologies, Tata Advanced Systems, D-town Robotics, Nextechno Gen Pvt. Ltd., Pi-labs, Power Forensics Digital Intelligence, and Stellar Information Technology Pvt. Ltd.
