Nagaland wrestling team prepares for national championship
DIMAPUR — In the forthcoming AITWPF 12th National Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Championship, scheduled in Dehradun from October 3 to the 6th, the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) is participating with 36 wrestlers, two officiating referees, three refresher referees, and five team officials.
In light of the championship, a five-day intensive coaching camp for the selected wrestlers and officials commenced on Wednesday at Sechü Zubza Council Hall, Kohima, according to an update.
The camp will culminate on September 29, and the team will proceed to Dehradun on September 30. The team is expected to return to Nagaland on either October 10 or 11.
The NWA has appealed to all wrestling enthusiasts in particular and the Nagas in general to support team Nagaland in their prayers.
