Nagaland: Woman killed in road accident at Tobu

DIMAPUR— One person was killed and several others injured after a passenger vehicle met with an accident on Wednesday. The Tata Sumo, which was heading towards Tobu in Mon, fell about 30 feet off the road.

A police officer informed Eastern Mirror that a mother, who was with her husband and a one-year-old toddler in the front seat of the vehicle, died on the spot. Her husband sustained minor injuries while the baby was unhurt.

The driver, who sustained serious injury, had been taken to the district hospital. The passengers who sustained minor injuries are in stable condition and were not hospitalised, he said.

The officer added that the accident was caused by a steering failure.
