DIMAPUR — A team of 54 delegations from Nagaland led by G Ikuto Zhimomi, advisor of Land Resources, left for Bengaluru on September 24 to attend the World Coffee Conference.
An update from the Land Resources department stated that the 5th World Coffee Conference would be held in Bengaluru from September 25 to the 28th, which is the first such event in Asia. It added that coffee entrepreneurs from Nagaland would exhibit coffee produce from the state during the four-day conference.
The delegation included V Kezo, commissioner and secretary, along with Albert Ngullie, director of Land Resources, and field officers, progressive coffee growers and coffee entrepreneurs.
Coffee entrepreneurs from Nagaland included Naga Coffee, Etè Coffee, The Hills, Coffee Lady, YES Agro-park Coffee, Fusion Coffee, and Tseise Coffee.
It further mentioned that Nagaland is one of the 12 coffee-growing states in the country and the largest coffee-growing state in the Northeast region.
