Nagaland: There is no substitute for hard work, says Zhaleo
Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Advisor of Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, today reiterated that there is no substitute for hard work and urged the students to strive with commitment and determination ‘to be a star among competitors.’
Zhaleo stated this on the final day of the 30th general conference of Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) held in Sirhima village on December 16 as the special guest. He called upon the students to put God first in all their endeavours and do away with inferiority complex, negativity, individual shortcomings or lapses etc., stated an update from Thejangukho Yalietsu, media secretary of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC.
“Youngsters of Kuki community are blessed with myriad talents and it is time you grab the opportunity, compete with others and excel in your field,” he said, adding there is always the scope to perform better with commitment, discipline and dedication.
Stating that the state government is focusing on meritocracy for employment for which Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) was constituted, Zhaleo encouraged the students to perspire in order to achieve success in life.
Clarifying to a statement on elections where he had earlier noted that “elections will be held with or without a solution on Naga political imbroglio,” Zhaleo enunciated that “if the concerned parties cannot find an acceptable solution before the due date of general election, the centre may definitely announce election processes to be conducted across the state. However, in case of a solution being reached on time, a stop gap arrangement or interim government may take care until an official election can be conducted at a later date accordingly.”
He further requested the Kuki community to work earnestly and join hands with him so that more economic, social and overall development might see the light of day even in future.
The programme was also attended by Alun Hangsing, retired bureaucrat, as the guest of honour.
