According to a survey conducted by the NBSE, 187 out of the 237 state quota seats for the All India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Nagaland State Entrance Examination (NSEE) were secured by students who had passed their HSSLC examination under NBSE.
“The accomplishment of the students’ performance in the entrance examinations i.e. JEE (Main), NEET and NSEE is praiseworthy,” a statement from NBSE said.
As per the information updated on the NBSE official website, the survey was undertaken to apprise the institutions about the achievement and performance of students in the JEE (Main), NEET and NSEE entrance examinations for the year 2018.
“The common core syllabus for Science stream which was introduced in the year 2011 and the transaction of the syllabus in the classrooms must have been the key factors behind this achievement. The Board would like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the subject teachers in particular and the heads of institution in general for supporting the students to achieve their dreams,” the NBSE stated.
Nagaland opted for JEE for admission to engineering courses from the year 2013 and NEET for medical courses in 2017. The NBSE has been conducting (NSEE) for the selection of students to undergo various Agri and allied courses for the state quota.
