Nagaland reports one fresh COVID-19 case, no deaths

The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland increased to eight with one fresh infection detected on Friday, while the death toll remained unchanged at 775 with no fatalities reported during the same period.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, one fresh case was reported in Mokokchung in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 35,931.

The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,631 with recovery of three more patients — two in Mon and one Kohima — in the last 24 hours.

Out of the eight active cases, four are asymptomatic, three mild and one in ICU without ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has five cases, two in Longleng and one in Mokokchung, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
