Nagaland reports 68 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths; tally rises to 28072

Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 28,072 and active caseload to 1,261 as 68 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Tuesday.

The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 68 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, Dimapur reported 19, 15 in Kohima, 14 in Mokokchung, four each in Mon and Phek, three each in Peren and Tuensang, two each in Kiphire and Zunheboto, and one each in Longleng and Wokha.

The state also reported three deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 563 while the state’s recoveries rose to 25,437 with 99 patients having recovered during the same period.

On Tuesday, 37 patients in Kohima recovered, 28 in Dimapur, 18 in Mokokchung, nine in Tuensang, five in Phek, and one each in Longleng and Wokha.

Nagaland currently has 1,261 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1015 are asymptomatic, 188 mild, 28 moderate on oxygen, 12 severe on oxygen, 10 in ICU without ventilator and eight in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 467 patients, 407 in Dimapur, 192 in Mokokchung, 56 in Tuensang, 42 in Mon, 21 in Phek, 20 in Peren, 19 in Kiphire, 13 in Wokha, and 12 each in Longleng and Zunheboto.
