Nagaland reports 6 new Covid cases, one death

Dimapur, Feb. 26 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of six fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the tally to 35,401 and active caseload to 128.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,040 with the recovery of 16 more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll increased to 751 with one death reported on Saturday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, three positive cases were reported in Dimapur, two in Kohima and one in Wokha.
Five recoveries each were reported in Dimapur and Phek, four in Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire and Phek, it stated.
Out of 128 active cases in the state, 116 are asymptomatic and 12 mild.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 85 infections, 21 in Kohima, six each in Peren and Tuensang, three in Mokokchung, two each in Phek and Wokha, one each in Mon and Longleng, while Zunheboto and Kiphire are currently Covid-19 free.
255 fatalities in India
India reported 11,499 new coronavirus infections on Saturday, taking the country’s tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,29,05,844, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,13,481 with 255 daily fatalities, the data stated.
The active cases declined to 1,21,881, with the recovery of 23,598 patients in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of more than 28.29 lakh (28,29,582) vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 177.17 crore (1,77,17,68,379).
