Nagaland reports 57 new Covid-19 cases, 58k in India

Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): Nagaland on Sunday reported 57 fresh Covid cases, taking the state’s active caseload to 1890.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima reported 23 cases, Mokokchung 10, Phek eight, Longleng six, Wokha four, Peren three, Zunheboto, Tuensang and Mon one each. Meanwhile, Dimapur reported zero cases in the last 24 hours.
Moreover, the state also reported 143 recoveries, pushing the recovery tally to 21,201.
Nagaland has also reported 455 deaths due to Covid-19, with one death reported in the last 24 hours.
58k cases reported in India
India recorded 58,419 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday taking the active caseload to 7,29,243, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It said that Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala are three states with more than one lakh active cases currently.
Moreover, with 1,576 new fatalities, the death toll is now over 3.85 lakh.
Over 27 crore people have been administered doses under the massive inoculative drive which began in January, the government said. More than 5.5 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the age group 18-44, so far, it added.
