Nagaland records single-day rise of 40 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 40 new Covid-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally to 30,244.
The state’s death toll also increased 612 with two fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, while the cumulative recoveries rose to 27,960 after 56 patients recuperated.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 40 new cases detected on Friday, 15 were in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, three each in Mokokchung and Phek, two each in Longleng, Peren and Tuensang, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha.
On Friday, 16 patients each recovered in Dimapur and Kohima, 12 in Mokokchung, four each in Longleng and Tuensang, two in Wokha, and one each in Peren and Phek.
Nagaland currently has 757 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 577 are asymptomatic, 133 mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, 23 severe on oxygen, eight in ICU without ventilator, and six in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 346 cases, followed by Mokokchung with 143, 137 in Kohima, 32 in Phek, 29 in Zunheboto, 27 in Mon, 18 in Wokha, 10 in Kiphire, nine in Longleng, four in Tuensang, and two in Peren.
