Nagaland records 59 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths; tally breaches 28000-mark

Dimapur, Aug. 2 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 28,004 as 59 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Monday.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 59 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, Mokokchung reported 18 infections, 14 each in Dimapur and Kohima, three in Peren, two each in Longleng, Mon, Tuensang and Zunheboto, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha.
The state has also reported four deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 560, while the cumulative recoveries rose to 25,338 with 94 Covid-19 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours.
As many 35 patients in Kohima recovered in the last 24 hours; 21 in Peren, 12 in Mokokchung, 10 in Dimapur, nine in Wokha, four in Mon, and three in Longleng.
Nagaland currently has 1,300 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1061 are asymptomatic, 181 mild, 33 moderate on oxygen, 15 severe on oxygen, six in ICU without ventilator and four in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 491 patients, 420 in Dimapur, 197 in Mokokchung, 62 in Tuensang, 38 in Mon, 22 in Phek, 17 each in Peren and Kiphire, 14 in Wokha, 12 in Longleng, and 10 in Zunheboto.
