Nagaland records 54 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally increased to 27,362 as 54 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Monday.
The state also reported three deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 531 while the state’s recoveries stand at 24,793 after 78 more patients recovered.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 54 new cases detected on Monday, Mokokchung reported the highest at 19, followed by Dimapur at 15, 11 in Kohima, four in Tuensang, three in Peren, and one each in Mon and Phek.
The state also recorded 78 recoveries out of which 31 were in Dimapur, 11 each from Longleng and Mokokchung, seven in Tuensang, five in Kiphire, four each in Tuensang, Kohima and Peren, and one in Mon
Nagaland currently has 1,256 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1008 are asymptomatic, 189 mild, 34 moderate on oxygen, 14 severe on oxygen, eight in ICU without ventilator and three in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 477, 352 in Dimapur, 230 in Mokokchung, 39 in Peren, 31 in Tuensang, 29 in Longleng, 27 in Wokha, 24 in Mon, 23 in Kiphire, 18 in Phek, and six in Zunheboto.
India reports 39361 new cases
Meanwhile, 39,361 new Covid infections were recorded in India in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 3,14,11,262 (3.14 core) and the death toll rose to 4,20,967 (4.20 lakh) with 416 more fatalities, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
A total of 35,968 patients also recovered during last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative recoveries to 3,05,79,106 (3.05 crore) so far at 97.35% recovery rate. Meanwhile, the country currently has 4,11,189 (4.11 lakh) active cases.
