Nagaland records 156 new Covid-19 cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours

Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): As many as 156 fresh Covid-19 positive cases and seven deaths were reported in Nagaland on Saturday, pushing the state’s active caseload to 4,982 and tally to 21,371.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 156 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 76 were in Kohima, 35 in Dimapur, 15 in Phek, nine in Kiphire, seven each in Longleng and Zunheboto, four in Mokokchung, and one each in Mon, Peren and Wokha.
He added that as many as 156 positive patients — 86 in Dimapur, 16 each in Mokokchung and Phek, 15 in Longleng, 10 in Kohima, eight in Zunheboto, three in Peren and two in Mon — recovered during the same period.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department update, the state currently has 4982 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 4641 are asymptomatic, 153 mild, 87 moderate on oxygen, 73 severe on oxygen, 20 in ICU without ventilator and eight in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 2,512 infections, 1,695 in Kohima, 172 in Tuensang, 147 in Mokokchung, 124 in Phek, 94 in Zunheboto, 92 in Mon, 47 in Wokha, 43 in Kiphire, 42 in Longleng, and 14 in Peren.
The state has also registered 15414 recoveries so far and 338 deaths, out of which seven were reported in the last 24 hours.
