Nagaland: Power dept. officers urged to serve public efficiently
Dimapur, Nov. 24 (EMN): Advisor for the department of Power, Tovihoto Ayemi on Tuesday urged the public to cooperate with the state government and also appealed to the officers and staff of the department to be more sincere and efficient in their duties.
He stated this during the inauguration programme of the new office building of the Electrical division in Kiphire. Minister for Soil and Water Conservation, Geology and Mining, NSMDC Ltd., V Kashiho Sangtam was the special guest.
Sangtam in his speech thanked urged all the GBs and civil society organisations to cooperate with the government for the development of the Kiphire even in the days to come, a DIPR report informed.
Shikato Sema, engineer-in charge (Power) in his speech urged all the officers and staffs of the division to be regular and available in the office and serve the public to the best extent. He also requested the public to cooperate with the department, especially when drawing transmission and distribution lines, sub- stations etc to serve them better, it stated.
The team also inspected the 132/66/33kv Kiphire sub-station and noted the condition of the infrastructures, which need urgent attention such as approach road and security fencing, it added.
