Nagaland: PAWF to host 5th edition of Fitness Festival on Nov. 5

Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): Performing Arts with Fitness (PAWF) is all set to host the 5th edition of Fitness Festival on Nov. 5 at Don Bosco School in Dimapur with ‘#fitternagalandmovement’.

An update issued on Oct. 12 informed that PAWF which began in 2015 initially by taking group exercises in a small hall with about 10 clients is now connected with many people with their exceptional services throughout Nagaland.

The MD of PAWF Nagaland Tainla Temjen said in the update said, “We are a team solely dedicated to break the orthodox stereotype of life-style. We develop and manage fitness services for school, colleges, hospitals, communities, corporate, Churches and among old age groups across Nagaland.” With its purpose and vision ‘Fitter Nagaland,’ the team aims in creating a higher awareness, to understand fitness, to facilitate and help develop positivity in the society while educating the people at the grass root level that fitness is a way of life.

The 5th edition of the festival is said to aim towards providing countless opportunities in creating a better and healthier lifestyle catering to diverse categories of age, capability, and strength.

“It will draw athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and spectators from around the state. This event is sure to motivate, inspire and provide the perfect landscape for individuals of all ages to celebrate strength, health, and life,” she assured while updating that this year they have several schools competing for the group exercise workout routine.

 ‘We are expecting gyms from all over Nagaland to participate in the various workout or fitness competitions as well. We shall have Nagaland fitness finest industry’s together on this day like no other’.

The lists of competitions are arm wrestling, burpee, push up and Tug of war.

“Way back in 2015 we conducted our first fitness awareness programme which was first of its kind in Nagaland. We also had the privilege to collaborate with WHO which was sponsored by Ministry of Health And Welfare, Government of Nagaland in 2016. After that we had fitness festival in 2017 and 2018 as well,” the update further informed.

The festival is also said  to open doors for people working with sounds, lights, camera crews for both photographers and videographers, dancers, creative designers, makeup artiste, entertainers, sports athletes, martial artist and fitness instructors to name a few.
