Nagaland Open Basketball Championship in Mokokchung from Dec. 13
Mokokchung, Nov. 21 (EMN): The Basketball Association Mokokchung District (BAMD) in collaboration with Nagaland Basketball Association will be organising the Nagaland Open Basketball Championship from December 13to the 16th at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Basketball court, Mokokchung.
“There is a need for basketball lovers and the basketball community of Nagaland to revive and promote the game. Therefore, with an aim to bring all basketball lovers of the state together and to encourage young and old players alike to play more and contribute more towards the promotion of the game, the BAMD has organised the open championship,” an update from the association stated.
The cash prize for the champions will be INR 60,000 while the runner-up will be awarded cash prize of INR 30,000. The association will also award the MVP of the tournament with a cash prize of INR 5,000.
The registration fee for each team is INR 5,000, while the last date for registration is December 8.
