The Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games, 2022, shooting competition kicked off on Tuesday here at the shooting range of Multi Disciplinary Sports Complex, with Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, as special guest.

A total of 68 participants from nine districts of Mon, Niuland, Zhunheboto, Phek, Kohima, Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Wokha and Tseminyu are taking part in the three-day event.

The CP in his address said that if the players have determination and skills in shooting, they can even represent the country at international levels and challenged the participants to make use of the opportunity.

Tetseo also said in sports such as shooting, Nagas can represent the country if they put in more efforts and concentration.

He further said that unlike many other sports, shooting is purely an individual game and therefore with determination, hard work and discipline, an individual can win medals.
