Nagaland Olympic Association names officials, players for 36th National Games

Dimapur, Sep. 29 (EMN): Nagaland state will take part in the forthcoming 36th National Games 2022 to be held in Gujarat from September 29 to October 12. The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) in an update informed that the state players will participate in archery, athletics, boxing and wrestling.

The Nagaland contingent comprises of the following officials and players:

Archery: HunezoThisa (coach), Chekrovolu Swuro (asst. coach), Edikunu Rikha (individual recurve round), Neikesa Sakhrie (compound round), Zhokhoto Demo (Indian round), NukhoLohe (Indian round) and Veduzo D Vadeo (Indian round).

Athletics: Mhonsao Ngullie (coach), Purna Konyak (coach), Tsuchoi T (5000m) and Neiketoulie Belho (100m)

Boxing: Tsungchetrenla (coach), Preeti (physiotherapist) and Nirmal (57kg)

Wrestling: Kikhwesiil Thokhwe (coach) and Nosezonu Kuotso (50kg)

Team officials: chef-de-mission-Kuputo Shohe (Jt. secretary, NOA), deputy chef-de-mission –Neivikuolie Khatsu (asst. secretary general, NOA). Two technical officials under athletics have been selected by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) to officiate at the National Games. The two officials are Vinolie Medom and Neikuosielie.

The flag bearers for Nagaland team include Tsuchoi T from Noklak district and Zhokhoto Demo from Phek district, NOA stated.
