Noklak DTF assesses COVID situation

Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): The Noklak District Task Force on COVID-19 convened a meeting at DC conference hall on August 1 under the chairmanship of DC Noklak, Hiazu Meru.

A DIPR report stated that during the meeting, the DC highlighted the present status and scenario of COVID-19 in the state. Meru shared the importance of COVID-19 vaccination in the district and stressed on awareness generation on a mass scale on COVID-19. He also requested all the members to walk the extra mile in the fight against COVID-19.

Chief medical officer, Noklak, Dr. Victor NC informed the house on the COVID-19 vaccination status in the district. The CMO encouraged the citizens who have Influenza-like illness to come forward for Covid-19 testing. Dr. Victor also shared about the Monkeypox pandemic which is spreading at an alarming rate.

The meeting discussed surveying various levels regarding vaccination and other logistics available with the medical department, it added.
