Basic makeup course to be conducted in Noklak
DIMAPUR — Sub-divisional officer (Civil), Noklak, Vikhoto Richa, has informed that the Noklak district administration, in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), will organise a three-day basic makeup course, tentatively from November 25 to 27, at Noklak town. According to a DIPR report, interested candidates may submit their details, including name, address, and date of birth, via WhatsApp to 9863164705, by November 16. The training will be free of charge, with an intake capacity of 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
IUN hosts certificate course on securities markets
DIMAPUR — A certificate course on securities markets was conducted at ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN) on November 7 and 8, with Chenio Lotha as the resource person. According to an update, Chenio Lotha is a certified Securities Markets Trainer (SMART) with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), as informed by the programme coordinator, Neisal Theyo, assistant professor and marketing in-charge.
Modern College students undergo internship
DIMAPUR — The fifth semester students from the Department of Vocational Studies, Modern College, Piphema, underwent internship programmes in Dimapur and Kohima. According to an update, the internship began on October 1 and ended on October 31. The participating stores were Shoppers Stop, Dimapur, and Reliance Smart Point, Kohima. The students learnt about the roles and responsibilities of various positions in a retail store and their daily tasks.
Fire destroys house in Kiphire
DIMAPUR — A fire broke out in Forest Ward, Kiphire town, between 9:30 and 10:00 am on Monday, destroying a kutcha house. A DIPR report stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. No casualties were reported. It was mentioned that the Additional Deputy Commissioner and CEO of Kiphire, Longdiba L Sangtam, provided Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) after receiving the incident report.
NNC/FGN welcomes five PAN members
DIMAPUR — The NNC/FGN has welcomed the “homecoming” of five members of the People’s Army of Nagaland (PAN) NSCN (Niki) from the Khiamniungan Region on November 8. A reception was held to mark the occasion. An update mentioned that the members are Major Chetei (Khiamniungan Region Guard Commander), Captain Muchiu (Khiamniungan Region Guard 2 i/c), Sgt. Major Puchai (Khiamniungan Region BSM), Sgt. Major Chumong, and Sgt. Major Peshem.
