CNC to hold special prayer on Jan. 15

Dimapur, Jan. 13 (EMN): Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) will hold a special prayer and holy communion on January 15 at the church premises of its council headquarters, Hebron, at 9 am and with the Naga army at 5 pm. This was stated in a press release issued by CNC general secretary, Rev. Seksim Kasar.

GPRN/NSCN condoles demise of three cadres

Dimapur, Jan. 13 (EMN): GPRN/NSCN has condoled the demise of its three members namely tatar Y Laji Yimkhiung from Chingmeilin village under Yimkhiung region, who passed away on December 22, 2022; Captain Samuel Lotha from Yimbarasa village under Lotha region, who passed away on December 30, 2022; and tatar Khatovi Yeptho from Tokugha village under Union Territory region, who passed away on January 10, 2023. A GPRN/NSCN’s statement through its MIP has described them as true assets and capable members, who have actively involved in their assignments and responsibilities for the Naga nation till their last breath. It added that their services and legacy for the cause of the Naga nation would be remembered and recorded in the pages of the Naga history. It further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.

Jacob inspects road construction works

Dimapur, Jan. 13 (EMN): PHED minister, Jacob Zhimomi undertook inspection of road construction works from Central Jail to Niuland, measuring a stretch of 21 km and lifeline for more than 100 villages on Friday. An update stated that the executive engineer of PWD), department officials and the contractor were also present at the inspection site. It informed that 7 km of the road has been completed. The minister has emphasised on quality and advised against compromising of raw materials. He also called for completion of the project at the earliest. The minister further reminded the officials and the contractor that he would be inspecting the road construction site again.
