Nagaland lifts U-25 Inter-State Cricket trophy

IN a low scoring final match of the U-25 Inter-State One Day triangular series, hosts Nagaland defeated Sikkim by 2 wickets to lift the championship trophy.
Sikkim won the toss and elected to bat but lost two early wickets at the score of 15 runs in 3.5 overs. In the 10th over, with the score of 56 runs on board, Sikkim lost the third wicket and from thereon lost wickets at regular intervals, losign the 4th at 75, 5th at 98, 6th at 78, 7th at 83, 8th at 92, 9th at 98 and the 10th wicket at the score of 114 in 28.2 overs.
For Nagaland captain, Imliwati took 4 wickets giving away 25 runs in 9 overs and Akavi took 3 wickets for 21 in 6.2 overs.
Nagaland started well and at one stage scored 84 runs for loss of 4 wickets in 21.2 oves.
Then there was a batting collapse and Nagaland lost 5th wicket at 92, 6th wicket at 99, 7th at 99 and 8th at 113, but completed the win in 29.5 overs. For Sikkim Sayeed took 5 wickets giving away 15 runs in 7 overs.
