Nagaland unit of the Janata Dal United (JDU) has expressed gratitude to all the people of Nagaland, who have voted in favour of the party in the just concluded election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
The state JDU president, Senchumo NSN Lotha, and the general secretary, Imsumongba Pongen, stated that the party contested the election on the theme “Development with justice” but was unable to deliver justice to the manifesto upon which the election was fought due to inconsiderable representation in the assembly.
It, however, stated that JDU would continue to pursue its goal which is for an all round development sans corruption.
The Nagaland JDU has also heartily congratulated Jwenga Seb, the lone winner from the JDU from 12 Tseminyu AC. JDU also appealed to one and all to accept the peoples mandate and choice and refrain from indulging in any post election vandalism and violence but work hard for the next five years so that a better result and response from the electorates could be availed.
In another statement, the president of 1 Dimapur-I ACCC, Hovikhe Chophi, on behalf of INC candidate, K Therie, has thanked the voters of 1 Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency for exercising their adult franchise.
He has accepted the mandate of the people in the constituency with humility and pledged to introspect and come back stronger. He has further congratulated the winning candidate, H Tovihoto Aye, and offered support in the service of the constituency in the form of a responsible opposition.
