Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): Immanuel College observed its 28th annual social-cum-freshers’ day on September 9 in the college premises with the deputy commissioner of police, Chümoukedima, Munesh, as the special guest on the theme ‘Inherited will, The destiny of the age.’
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest encouraged the students to imbibe positive attitude, an asset which one can achieve anything in life, stated an update from the college. She also exhorted the gathering to learn from one’s mistake and focus on what they are good at.
“When your ambition is greater than your fear, your life will get bigger than your dream,” she said. She further described Nagaland as a beautiful place and its people as pure and honest.
The first session was chaired by Angangla Longkumer, while the invocation prayer was said by N Elone, assistant professor of English, and the welcome address was delivered by Kaboto K Achumi, president of ICSC. T Moamenla Jamir spoke on behalf of the freshers.
The second session was hosted by Ghunato and Vungathung Ovung. Hanluchi, 4th runner-up of Nagaland Exotic Model Hunt Season-2, who spoke on the occasion, announced that the winners of the day would represent the college in the upcoming Nagaland Exotic Model Hunt Season-3, 2022.
The event also witnessed vibrant performances from the Ethnic Clowns, Niloka and Imti, Sheye Samuel and friends, Sejongli, Jabbakings and Anyak the Tigers.
It concluded with crowning of Mr and Miss Fresher, which were awarded to Eingentangba Aier and Phongjingla T Sangtam respectively.
