Nagaland Health minister launches LDBA official jersey
Kohima, Aug. 15 (EMN): Nagaland’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, on Monday launched the official jersey for Longleng District Badminton Association (LDBA) at the Longleng Deputy Commissioner’s office chamber.
An update informed that the jersey is being sponsored by Intermingle Club, Longleng while it added that LDBA is all set to host the LI-NING 44th Inter-District and State Open Badminton Championship and Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2022.
The minister, during the launching event, invited people of the state to join the event, which begins from August 23, as the event will be first of its kind for the district to host such a mega event while the event will showcase the young talents of the state in junior and seniority category.
Coinciding with the launching programme, the minister had a review and preparedness meeting for the upcoming event headed by Dharam Raj, DC Longleng, who is the chairman of the District Sports Association.
It stated that the event will be unique as it will witness the participation of all the 16 districts of the state.
The minister accompanied by the deputy commissioner visited the event venues and the lodging area and its facilities.
Further, it stated that strategies and measures to be undertaken were discussed and roadmap towards a successful event was also deliberated. Towards this, the minister also called upon all the stakeholders of the district and CSO’s to extend full support for its accomplishment.
