Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi held a sensitisation-cum-consultation meeting with all the tribal hoho leaders of the state at Dr. Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan on Wednesday in view of the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.

An update from Raj Bhavan informed that the governor recalled the significant contributions of the tribal leaders and their co-operation with the state government in combating the first wave of Covid-19.

He maintained that the co-operation of tribal leaders is crucial in fighting the pandemic successfully and that the government can’t do it alone.

While urging the community leaders to encourage and ensure the people to observe Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, Ravi appreciated the tribal leaders for their valuable practical suggestions based on their experiences and observations.

“The suggestions will be conveyed to the state government for necessary action,” read the press release, adding that ‘the governor will meet GBs, Church leaders and leaders of other faith-based organisations in the state in coming days’.
