Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Tsungremmong greetings
DIMAPUR — Governor of Nagaland La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have conveyed greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of the Tsungremmong festival.
“Tsungremmong is a pre-harvest festival celebrated to express our gratitude to the Supreme Power and praying for a bountiful yield. It is also a celebration to strengthen their bond of brotherhood and unity among the people in the village and beyond.
“May the blessings and the significance of the festival be manifested in our daily lives so that peace, love, brotherhood and prosperity will flourish in our land,” greeted the governor.
Rio also took to Twitter to greet the Ao community on the auspicious occasion.
“Greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of Tsungremmong which is a pre-harvest festival, and traditionally observed as thanksgiving to invoke God’s blessings for a bountiful harvest. I wish you a happy and memorable celebration,” he wrote.
