Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Thuni greetings

Dimapur, Jan. 4 (EMN): Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday extended greetings to the Chakhesang community on the occasion of Thuni Festival.

Mukhi stated that Thuni is a thanksgiving festival for a bountiful harvest and good health, and also promotes virtues such as ‘equity, friendship, peace, purity and originality’.

“On this joyous occasion, may our Almighty God bless the people of Nagaland with a bountiful harvest, good health, peace and prosperity,” the message read.

Meanwhile, Rio also greeted the Chakhesang community on the auspicious occasion.

“Warm greetings to those celebrating Thuni from the Chakhesang community. I wish you happiness, good health and prosperity for the year ahead. Best wishes for a happy and a safe Thuni,” he tweeted.
