Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Poang Lüm greetings

Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Pong Lüm greetings to the Chang community and the people of the state.

“The festival marks the celebration of self-sufficiency. It heralds the beginning of cultivation process seeking blessings for a bountiful harvest. This beautiful festival aims to pass down the rich culture and beautiful traditions to the younger generation. It advocates unity, friendship and good trade relations,” read greetings from the Raj Bhavan.

It also wished the people “happiness, good health and prosperity”.

The chief minister also took to Twitter to greet the Chang community on the auspicious occasion.

“I extend warm greetings to the Chang community on the occasion of Poanglüm festival. May the Almighty bless you with prosperity, peace and unity. I wish you all a blessed year,” wrote Rio.
