Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend festive greetings
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Durga Puja and Dussehra greetings.
In a message, the governor hoped that the festival brings forth strength, happiness and success as it symbolises the victory of good over evil. “Let the spirit of Dussehra inspire you to overcome challenges, and may the blessings of Lord Rama and Goddess Durga fill our lives with positivity and grace.
“As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, may it mark new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness,” it read.
Rio went on X to write the message: “I extend my warm wishes for a joyous Durga Puja and Dussehra. May the celebration of good over evil fill our hearts with hope, courage and positivity. Let us celebrate the spirit of victory and new beginnings.”
On October 8, he greeted the Tikhir tribe. “Greetings to the Tikhir tribe on Tsonglak-Nyi; the festival of sanctification of shields, weapons & wealth. Once a preparation for headhunting, observed just before the onset of harvest, it now reflects the spirit of protection, unity & cultural pride,” he wrote on X.
