Nagaland Governor and Chief Minister extend Tuluni greetings to Sumi community
DIMAPUR — Governor of Nagaland La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni festival.
“Tuluni festival is celebrates the season of abundance and plentiful. This mid-year (July) is the greatest and most fervent occasion for the Sumi Community of Nagaland. Tulini is also called ‘ANNI’, the word of which denotes the season of plentiful crops,” read the message from the Raj Bhavan.
“During the festival, betrothed couples, families and friends exchange gifts and host feast. The festival is also a time for peace –making and reconciliation. I wish you all happiness and good Health,” it added.

Rio also took to Twitter to convey his greetings to the Sumi community on the auspicious occasion.
“I extend my warm greetings to our brothers and sisters from the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni. May the festival foster togetherness, unity and bring blessings of bountiful harvest,” he wrote.
