Nagaland government urges registration of employees in PIMS
DIMAPUR — The Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department (Personal Information Management System Cell) has informed that, despite instructions issued by the state government from time to time regarding the registration of government employees, many employees engaged under state sponsored schemes (SSS) and centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) are not registered in the Personal Information Management System (PIMS).
A DIPR report mentioned that the instructions were issued via OM No. PAR/PIMS-10/2017 dated March 4, 2022, and OM No. PAR/PIMS-2/2015 dated April 23, 2024.
It stated that, as a result, they are not covered by the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) and, therefore, are unable to avail themselves of the health benefits provided by the state government for its employees, as registration in CMHIS must be done based on the employee’s PIMS code.
In the interest of covering all government employees under CMHIS, all departments have been directed to mandatorily register their SSS and CSS employees in PIMS if they have not done so already.
The departments have also been reminded to submit the application for registration in PIMS along with the requisite documents, strictly following the instructions provided earlier.
Furthermore, the submission of applications for registration should be made within one month from the date of issue of the latest OM.
