Nagaland gets 10 new ambulances

Kohima, April 28 (EMN):
The government of Nagaland has procured 10 new ambulances to be used in the fight against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. According to the minister for Health and Family Welfare, Pangnyu Phom, the ambulances reached Dimapur on Tuesday and will cater to the needs of the districts to combat the pandemic.

Upon the arrival of the ambulances, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio dedicated the ambulances at the District Hospital Dimapur.

He also inspected the wards and toilet facilities at the hospital besides inspecting the newly installed 500kVA transformer and 12kVA generator.

Phom also took to twitter to announce the arrival of the ambulances. “I am happy that the 10 ambulances purchased by the DHFW, GON have reached Dimapur,” he tweeted.

The minister went on to add that the ambulances will be distributed among the districts immediately.
