Nagaland Elections 2023: ECI to announce poll dates today

Kohima, Jan. 18 (EMN): The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the schedule of general election to the Legislative assemblies of Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya today at 2:30 pm from New Delhi.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and other officials of ECI had visited the three poll bound states from Jan. 11 to 14th and assessed the states’ preparedness on the upcoming assembly elections. 

During their visit to Nagaland on Jan. 14, the ECI stated that election will be held as mandated by the Constitution of India and assured that the next tenure will be in place before the present tenure expires on March 12, 2023.

The NDPP-BJP coalition is currently ruling in Nagaland.
