Nagaland: Dr. Kire inaugurates marketing sheds in Jalukie

Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, inaugurated a daily marketing sheds constructed under the 14th Finance Commission (ULB) in Jalukie town on April 28 in the presence of the advisor of Water Resources, Namri Nchang, and NPF legislature party leader and UDA chairman, TR Zeliang.

In his address, Dr. Kire acknowledged the Jalukie Town Council (JTC) for judiciously utilising the funds sanctioned for the construction and also for the quality workmanship. He urged the public to maintain and make the best use of the facilities provided by the government.

He also shared his views and ideas for the future overall development of the district and expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated daily marketing sheds would go a long way in helping the farmers and local vendors in generating their income, stated a DIPR report.

Namri Nchang, while highlighting the potentials of Jalukie town for further growth and development, encouraged the public leaders to plan for a better tomorrow in order to benefit the citizens in the district.

Also speaking on the occasion, TR Zeliang enlightened the gathering on 33% reservation for women and other policies and schemes of the government.

NZPO president, Kevipelie Iheilung, and the additional director of Municipal Affairs, A Chenithung Lotha, also spoke on the occasion.
