Nagaland: Don Bosco Kohima holds investiture for student forum
DIMAPUR — The Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK), held a programme for the investiture of the student forum on July 28 at the college premises. The special invitee for the event was the president of Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU).
The programme was chaired by Zavelu Kezo, dean of student affairs, and Fr. Christu Doss led the invocation.
The welcome address was given by Fr. Dr. P Suresh, principal of DBCK, who on the occasion spoke about the importance of the KVSU and emphasised good conduct and discipline. He also congratulated the new student forum members.
It was followed by the felicitation ceremony and pinning of badges for the newly elected DBCK student forum 2023–2024 members.
The KVSU president introduced his colleagues and appealed to the students to set an example by training themselves in respectful conduct and leadership, embracing challenges and opportunities with humility, and listening to diverse opinions and ideas.
Dr. Tovika, the nodal officer, DBCK student forum, administered the oath-taking ceremony.
The outgoing general secretary, Jennifer Wotsa, shared her experiences and the important role of the student forum in her speech, while the newly elected general secretary, Charles Yhome, thanked the institute and spoke about overcoming challenges.
