Nagaland: DBCK annual festival ‘Euphoria’ gets underway
Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): The annual festival of Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) ‘Euphoria’ got underway on September 22.
An update from the college informed that the festival began with a cultural programme on the theme “With great power comes great responsibility.”
It stated that the special invitee, Yanpvou Kikon, entrepreneur and consultant, spoke on the Naga culture and traditions as well as intellectual maturity of the Naga youth.
Kikon emphasised that the Nagas were unique as well as different and should learn to celebrate their culture amid the differences. He called upon the students to promote the Naga culture to the rest of the world and trace their roots back to ancestors.
He further encouraged the students not to generalise each culture but use it as their strength.
The programme concluded with a display of the indigenous games followed with the vote of thanks delivered by Jennifer Wotsa, general secretary of DBCK Students’ Forum.
