Nagaland Covid-19 update: Seventy-one more tested positive; tally at 845

Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): Nagaland has recorded its highest single-day increase in the number of Covid-19 cases as 71 more cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported on Monday, July 13, taking the total tally of the state to 845.

This was informed by the minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Monday morning.

“Out of 816 samples tested, 71 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. 60 in Dimapur, 7 in Mon, 4 in Kohima,” the minister tweeted on Monday morning.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 327 patients as ‘recovered’ and there were 518 active cases in the state and no death till date.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.

As of July 13, Dimapur has the highest cases among all districts with 161 active cases, followed by Peren with 134 active cases; Kohima with 98 active cases; Mon with 83 cases; Tuensang has 28 cases; Phek with eight cases, while Mokokchung has four cases, Zunheboto and Wokha has one case each.

As per the severity of the symptoms, 513 active cases are asymptomatic and four active cases are mild.
