Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang observed its 47th parting social programme for the outgoing batch of 2019-22 on Friday.
Late Sao Chang’s family were the special invitees of the programme, an update informed.
Principal-in-charge, Longtichang Tzudir exhorted the students to continue being exemplary citizens of the nation. He stressed on the fact that they will always be a part of the college by being its alumni and also reminded them about the role they will have to play as stakeholders for the progress of the college.
Hopong, youngest son of late Sao Chang, also delivered a speech on behalf of the and encouraged the students to live up to the values and dreams envisioned by his late father and to bring laurels to the college and community. He also exhorted the outgoing students to persevere and stay positive as they prepare to embark on a new journey.
The programme also included an intercessory prayer for the outgoing students by Dr. Kenilo Kath, Assistant Professor, dept. of History, which was followed by a surprise special number by the teachers.
Meanwhile, MGM College of Arts and Commerce, Dimapur also bid farewell to the outgoing students at the college auditorium on Friday. During the formal session Fr. Dr. PS Varghese, Principal, reminded the students to “celebrate the endings, because they precade to a new beginning”.
The principal emphasised Deuteronomy 31:8, encouraging the students to be courageous and appreciate their own experiences in life and not to envy others.
It was followed by informal session where students and teachers took part in power-packed performances, creativity in singing, dancing and many more. During the programme, 65 second semester students were awarded with Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) certificate.
