Nagaland: CFD to hold prayer meet for peace and unity

Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) has decided to hold ecumenical and inter–denominational prayer meet every second Saturday of the month from 6 am to 7 am. In this regard, CFD has requested everyone to pray for peace and unity in Nagaland especially among the political and church leaders as well as for a lasting and sustainable solution to the political issue.

This was decided during a meeting of CFD office bearers and advisors held on August 8 at the Bethesda Higher Secondary School campus. In the meeting, Rev. Moses Murry welcomed everyone, while Rev. Dr. Tzudir invoked God’s blessings for the meeting.

For the selection of new office bearers, Rev. Dr. Paphino was appointed as the chairman of the selection committee. The forum has also decided to hold its general body meeting on August 30 at 1600 hrs in the residence of its chairman.

The members also discussed on the upcoming prayer fellowship with the Calvary Temple, one of the biggest community churches in the country.

The forum further stated that with the consensus of every member, Rev. Moses Murry was appointed as the convenor for the ecumenical prayer fellowship to be held in October. The meeting concluded with a benediction said by its advisor, Rev. RP Murry.
